The Lotus Elise, a 2-seat roadster with a targa-style removable soft top, has been upgraded in 2008 with a new instrument display, trip computer, and revised options packages. Standard and the new <a href="http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?l=1&w=20&p=37&f=5720&s=297523&vt=new&m=1297&d=18107&y=2008" target="_self">Elise SC trim</a> levels are available that differ in engine, rear spoiler, and wheel design. The <a href="http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?l=1&w=20&p=37&f=5720&s=297521&vt=new&m=1297&d=18107&y=2008" target="_self">standard Lotus Elise</a> is powered by a 1.8L 4-cylinder engine that produces 189 hp and 133 lb-ft of torque with a 6-speed manual transmission. The SC has a supercharged version of the standard engine that gets up to 218 hp and 156 lb-ft of torque. Standard are 16-in front wheels and 17-in rear wheels with high-performance tires, Lotus/AP Racing & Brembo brakes, and HID xenon headlights.
